I live and paint in Italy nine months of the year, where I work directly from the landscape. During my three months in Chicago I work on large narrative paintings.

Biography
Dan Gustin was born in San Francisco in 1948. He currently lives and works in Chicago and Italy. He is an associate professor at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the painting and drawing department. Dan’s work is in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago; Hirshhorn Museum, Washington D.C.; Worster Museum of Art, Massachusetts; The Huntington Museum of Art, West Virginia; Rockford Art Museum, Illinois; The Richard and Jalene Davidson Drawing Collection, Chicago, Illinois; The Howard and Judith Tollman Collection, Chicago, Illinois; the private collection of William and Sandra Bailey; and the private collection of Andrew Forge and Ruth Miller.
